BESTPTERYGIUM TREATMENT IN AHMEDABAD

WHAT IS PTERYGIUM DISEASE?

_

A pterygium is a pinkish, triangular tissue growth on the cornea of the eye. It commonly starts on the cornea near the nose. But it can occur in the opposite direction also.

The inner corner of the eye (nearest the nose) is the most common location for pterygiums to grow. Sometimes it can grow from the outer corner of an eye or on both sides.

Usually, pterygium removal is recommended to eliminate associated symptoms and prevent adverse effects on vision. Some people choose to have pterygium surgery for cosmetic reasons. Our expert surgeon will remove pterygiums from the eye using modern microsurgery techniques, and replace them with healthy tissue grafts taken from the same eye. The process of grafting helps prevent recurrence of the condition following pterygium surgery.

  • The symptoms of pterygium include stinging sensations, redness, itching, and watering.
  • Pterygiums that are pretty large can also lead to decreases in vision, either by altering the cylindrical power of the eye or by directly blocking the light…
